BMA is a Dutch company – BioMechanisch Adviesbureau (biomechanical consultancy) established in 1988, who in 1996, used their extensive knowledge and research to produce produce the Axia range of chairs.

Now with over 1 million chairs sold Axia is well established as one of the best task chairs available.

Most of us can stand and walk all day without back pain, and without a back rest. When we sit, our pelvis reclines, and our weight is now behind our pelvis, not on top of it where it was designed to be. This position stresses the lumbar region, so we need to recline into a backrest to help with this stress.

Axia is different. It has enhanced pelvic support which results in a chair that is not only comfortable and supportive for long hours and intense workloads, it’s overall shape and design is particularly well suited to the home study, as well as the office.

There are several different specifications and enhancements available. The 2.4 has a tall backrest, extra thick cushions for increased comfort, and adjustability to suit most users.

The simple button activated weight balancing movement is unique – simple, smooth and like no other. The hinged frame allows for the anti-knee rise tilting action to naturally follow body movements, improving support and allowing a permanent connection between chair and user.

Infinitely lockable and highly adjustable, this robust mechanism comfortably supports users of up to 150KG and now comes with a seat slide as standard.

As standard this chair comes with everything most people need, but there are many options for this chair. If what you want is not listed, please give us a call, we can help! Sold here in black or blue hard wearing polyester, but again, many colours and fabrics are available.

It is covered in artificial leather Azurite, a deep blue. Long gas lift.

It will have over 8 years left on it’s manufacturers warranty, and has had very little use.

If you wish to collect, or you’re close to Exeter, contact us first and I’ll remove the carriage charge.

Sallis two part saddles keep the pelvis in an upright position and the spine in alignment while also offering benefits to circulation and ventilation.
